Two-Step Integration Guide
The Two-Step Integration is a lightweight, high-speed workflow similar to the Manual Integration, but optimized for same-day turnaround.
It’s designed for situations where packages are shipped out almost immediately after they arrive — eliminating storage time and handling delays.
Overview
Like the Manual workflow, the Two-Step Integration isn’t tied to any specific marketplace (e.g., Amazon or Walmart).
Instead, it’s a direct process between the client and your prep center, allowing them to request shipments, upload their own labels, and manage fulfillment directly within PrepFlow.
The key difference is that Two-Step shipments allow pre-uploaded labels, letting you receive and ship packages instantly upon arrival.
How It Works
1. Client Creates a Two-Step Order
Clients can create a Two-Step inbound order from their dashboard.
When submitting the request, the client can:
- Upload their shipping labels in advance
- Add any notes or identifiers to help match packages when they arrive
Because the labels are already attached to the request, your warehouse doesn’t need to wait for label generation later.
2. Check-In Workflow Enhancement
Here’s where Two-Step really shines:
When an inbound package arrives:
- During check-in, PrepFlow detects that it’s linked to a Two-Step item
- The system automatically displays the pre-uploaded labels
- You can directly create and ship the outbound shipment right from the check-in screen
This means the package can enter and leave your warehouse within minutes — with no need for storage or further handling.
🚀 Benefit: Two-Step saves time, reduces handling costs, and optimizes space for high-volume centers processing frequent small shipments.
3. Warehouse Workflow
During check-in:
- Scan or locate the inbound package
- PrepFlow detects it as a Two-Step item
- The client’s pre-uploaded labels are automatically attached
- Confirm the quantity and box details
- Click Create Shipment & Ship
PrepFlow then:
- Creates the shipment record
- Marks it as shipped automatically
- Logs tracking information
- Updates the client’s shipment history
No storage, no extra manual steps — just a seamless in-and-out workflow.
4. Admin View & Tracking
All Two-Step shipments appear alongside your other shipments:
- Requested Shipments: Shows Two-Step shipments awaiting arrival
- Outbound: Displays completed Two-Step shipments with tracking and timestamps
Admins can filter or search by integration type = Two-Step for quick visibility into fast-turnaround orders.
