Manual Integration Guide
The Manual Integration is a flexible workflow for shipments that aren’t tied to a marketplace integration (like FBA or FBM).
It’s designed primarily for direct-to-consumer (DTC) orders, custom B2B shipments, or any scenario where the client wants to directly control how the shipment is labeled or where it’s going, this can also be used for managing returns.
How It Works
With Manual shipments, clients can:
- Request a shipment from their dashboard
- Either upload a shipping label they’ve already purchased
- Or provide a destination address so the warehouse can generate and purchase the label directly
This setup gives both the client and warehouse maximum flexibility while still keeping the process organized inside PrepFlow.
Client Workflow
When clients create a manual shipment request, they have two options:
Upload their own label
- The client attaches the shipping label file during the request.
- Once approved, your team can simply download and print the uploaded label.
Provide the destination address
- The client enters the full recipient shipping address.
- The warehouse can then generate and purchase a label directly from the dashboard.
⚙️ Clients must select the shipping method as “Warehouse” if they want you to generate the label.
This ensures the address fields are displayed during the request.
Admin Workflow
Once a manual shipment request is submitted, it will appear in your Requested Shipments list.
From here, you can:
1. Review the Request
- Open the shipment pop-up to see whether the client:
- Uploaded their own label
- Or requested you to purchase one
- Verify item details and quantities
2. Handle the Label
Depending on the client’s selection:
If a label was uploaded:
Download it directly from the shipment and attach it to the box.If a label needs to be purchased:
Click Purchase Labels, select the box type and weight, generate rates, and choose your preferred carrier.
Once purchased, you can download and print the label instantly.
💡 Tip: Purchasing labels through your dashboard automatically logs the transaction and applies your upcharge if configured — keeping client billing transparent and consistent.
3. Mark as Shipped
After packaging and attaching the label, click Mark as Shipped.
This completes the workflow and moves the shipment to your Outbound page for recordkeeping.
