FBA Integration Guide
The FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon) Integration in PrepFlow connects directly to your client’s Seller Central account — letting you generate, box, and ship FBA shipments without switching tabs or manually uploading information.
Using PrepFlow’s built-in label purchasing system is faster, safer, and more accurate than managing labels externally.
When you buy labels through your PrepFlow dashboard:
- You save significant setup time
- Avoid manual tracking entry mistakes
- Automatically sync tracking and shipment confirmations to Seller Central
- And, you support your prep center’s bottom line — since labels include your built-in margin
Getting Started
Once a shipment has been created — either:
- From Inventory, or
- Automatically or manually requested by a client —
you can open the Requested Shipment Pop-Up.
If the client has linked their Seller Central account, you’ll see a button at the bottom right labeled:
“View FBA Shipment”
Clicking this button begins the full FBA workflow inside PrepFlow.
1. Validate Items Stage
This is the first stage of the FBA workflow and where you validate product details before creating the inbound plan in Seller Central.
What Happens Here
- PrepFlow fetches all relevant item data from Seller Central.
- The system automatically checks for issues such as:
- Missing dimensions or weights
- Unapproved or inactive listings
- ASINs not eligible for FBA
You’ll see any errors flagged immediately so they can be resolved before submission.
Optimized Plan Generation
At this stage, you can generate an optimized shipment plan using PrepFlow’s algorithm.
For more details, see the Optimized Generation Guide.
Editing & Filtering
- Duplicate ASINs/MSKUs are automatically consolidated into a single line.
- You can remove or edit items (e.g., MSKU, list price, or quantity).
- Use the Hazmat Filter to quickly see any restricted or hazmat products that might affect your carrier options.
Note: Label and prep owner default to Seller — no need to adjust these unless specifically required.
When ready, click “Create FBA Shipment” at the bottom right.
PrepFlow will then send all validated item information directly to Seller Central to generate the inbound plan.
2. Box Items Stage
Once your plan is created, it’s time to pack and assign products to boxes.
Assign Items to Boxes
- Scan FNSKU's or manually assign items into boxes.
- If you use preset boxes, they’re automatically billed to the client.
- You can also add preset services at this stage.
Internal Box Labels
Each box has a printer icon — click it to generate an internal box label.
These internal labels help keep large shipments organized by box number and packing group.
Restore Shipment
Need to start over?
Click Restore Shipment to return to the listings page and make changes to items or box assignments.
If you restore and come back to this stage, you’ll see a “Restore Previous Boxes” option to bring back your previous box setup without re-entering everything manually.
3. Ship Shipment Stage
This is where you finalize placement and generate labels — the last step before confirming your shipment.
Placement Options
Amazon placement options (destination warehouses) are displayed automatically, and PrepFlow begins generating transportation options in sequence.
Once all options are loaded, you can:
- Choose your preferred placement
- Select your carrier type — Amazon Partnered or Non-Partnered
Non-Partnered Carriers
If you choose a Non-Partnered Carrier, click “Generate Label Rates” to fetch live shipping options.
This will open a new page where PrepFlow:
- Generates label rates for every box
- Uses your entered weights and dimensions
- Uses Amazon’s destination addresses
⚡ Pro Tip: Always select and purchase all labels from the same carrier — mixing carriers will throw an error.
Purchasing Labels (Highly Recommended)
When you purchase labels through PrepFlow, the workflow is fully automated:
- Label rates are fetched instantly from our carrier network
- The system automatically attaches tracking numbers to each box
- You’re redirected back to your placement page with everything prefilled
- You simply print and attach — no manual entry, no syncing issues
Buying labels through your PrepFlow dashboard saves time, prevents data entry mistakes, and automatically updates tracking with Seller Central.
4. Confirmed Shipments Stage
Once confirmed, your FBA shipment syncs fully with Seller Central.
What You’ll See
- Each individual Amazon shipment with:
- Destination warehouse address
- Box breakdowns
- Items included per shipment
Printing Labels
If you used Amazon Partnered Carriers
Both the box labels and shipping labels are provided in a single merged file.
Simply print and attach — no separate steps required.
If you used PrepFlow Dashboard Labels
You get the same merged label experience, plus automatic tracking sync.
This eliminates hours of manual entry and ensures accuracy across every box.
Using PrepFlow’s internal label purchase system is the fastest way to finish your FBA shipments — and the easiest way to avoid errors that delay FBA check-ins.
If you purchased labels externally
You’ll need to manually upload tracking numbers for each box before saving to ensure Seller Central updates correctly.
Completing the Shipment
After all labels are attached and verified, click Mark as Shipped.
This will:
- Finalize the shipment in Seller Central
- Move the record to your Outbound page for history and reporting
